In 2024, Jose acquired A Better Fence Construction, bringing extensive construction and engineering experience to the company. Under his leadership, the business expanded beyond fencing to include construction and landscaping services, becoming A Better Fence, Construction & Landscaping. Jose now oversees day-to-day operations, ensuring every project meets the high standards of quality, craftsmanship, and customer service the company was built on.
Growth, Transition & Continued Family Involvement
As TRUE LATCH continued to grow year over year, Brad and his family made the strategic decision to focus on expanding the product Levi created. The fence installation portion of the business was sold, allowing the family to concentrate on innovation while remaining actively involved in the company. While Jose now runs daily operations, the Penner family legacy and guidance remain part of the business today.
2018-2024:Leadership Rooted in Precision & Service
Following the passing of founder Levi Penner in 2018, Brad, Levi’s son-in-law and husband to Levi’s oldest daughter Martha, stepped into a leadership role. A U.S. Air Force veteran with over nine years of experience as an avionics technician, Brad brought a disciplined, detail-oriented approach to the company. His military background reinforced the company’s commitment to building strong, straight fences and delivering work clients could trust.

Driven by a desire to solve real-world problems, Levi Penner invented TRUE LATCH, an adjustable solution designed to correct sagging fence gates.
